Replace plugin-name with the actual name of the plugin you want to install. Ensure that the name is exactly the same as displayed in the plugin list obtained in Step 2.

Step 4: Installing a Specific Plugin Version

If you want to install a specific version of a plugin, you can specify the version number in the installation command as follows:

java -jar jenkins-cli.jar -s http://your-jenkins-server-url/ install-plugin plugin-name:version

Again, replace plugin-name with the name of the plugin and version with the desired version number.

After installing the plugin, Jenkins needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect. You can do this using the following command:

java -jar jenkins-cli.jar -s http://your-jenkins-server-url/ safe-restart

This command initiates a safe restart of Jenkins, ensuring that all running jobs are completed before the server restarts.
