Please take note enabling direct root login in SSH can be a security risk, as it allows anyone to attempt to log in as the root user, who has unrestricted access to the entire system. 

It's generally recommended to disable root login and instead use a regular user account with sudo privileges. However, if you still want to allow root login, here are the steps:

Open the SSH configuration file /etc/ssh/sshd_config using a text editor. You may need to be root or use sudo to edit this file.

Find the line that says PermitRootLogin and change its value to yes. If the line does not exist, add it to the end of the file.

Save the changes to the file and exit the text editor.

Later restart the SSH daemon to apply the changes.

Command for Ubuntu and other Debian-based systems:

Now you should be able to log in as root via SSH. However, keep in mind that this is not recommended from a security standpoint, and you should only enable root login if you have a specific need for it and are confident in your ability to secure your system.

As per my recommendation and more in secure manner, kindly use ssh keypair to login in any linux server instead of password.
