Currently dealing with tests in an org where 80% of APEX tests are under one test class which does not seem to be the best option

I am very new to test development inside an Android environment and I am trying to figure out if I can use frameworks such as Mockito for test development in Kotlin and this question came to mind. 

Can Android tests be developed in Java for a Kotlin application? How about Kotlin tests in a Java application?

I am working on a project where we use lots of stored procedures. Currently, we unit test stored procedures by:

1) Writing a sql script that calls the stored procedure and uses select statements to print output values.

2) Then by comparing a good output with the test output for declaring whether the test has passed or not.

Is there an inbuilt support for Unit Testing in MySQL? What is the industry standard way of doing this?

Is there a framework or library available that, when given a JavaBean, will "put it through its paces," i.e., test all the getters and setters, validate that a property matches the getters and setters, etc.? 

Answering this in 2021 because sadly, this problem still exists.

Beans add up to the code base and have a very negative impact if your DevOps pipelines are imposing coverage restrictions on repos. There are two ways to overcome it.

Exclude the beans ( which I would say should not be done).

Write test cases for beans ( which is the most pathetic thing that we as a developer can do to waste our time :( ).

And in most cases, you will end up writing test cases for beans.

I have written this simple Utility/test case that uses reflection and can allow you to increase the Junit code coverage and save your time.

Java bean testing framework

I have a dynamic-LINQ library that generates query expression for anyIQueryable support lists and EntityFramework... I want to have some tests to check the entity-framework SQL providers generated SQL queries. The main problem is I can not use the In-Memory provider because it doesn't show me the SQL outputs. how can I write these tests without having an actual database installed? Is there any package that I can use? (I need to test EF SqlServer and MySql providers).

I want to run a small PostgreSQL database which runs in reminiscence only, for each unit check I write. For instance:

Preferably I'll have a single postgres executable checked into the version manage, which the unit take a look at will use.
