I apprehend the cost of the three-part provider/host/patron version provided using WCF. However is it just me or does it appear to be wcf took something pretty direct (the ASMX version) and made a multitude out of it?
Is there an alternative to the usage of svcutil's command line step again in time to generate the proxy? With ASMX offerings a take a look at harness become automatically supplied; is there a terrific opportunity today with WCF?
I admire that the ws* stuff is more tightly incorporated with WCF and wish to find some payoff for WCF there, but geez, otherwise I'm at a loss for words.
Also, the state of books available for WCF is abysmal at quality. Juval Lowy, an awesome creator, has written an excellent O'Reilly reference book "programming WCF offerings" but it doesn't do that plenty (for me anyway) for gaining knowledge of how to apply WCF. That book's precursor (and a little higher prepared, however now not tons, as a tutorial) is Michele Leroux Bustamante's getting to know WCF. It has accurate spots however is old in place and its corresponding net website is long past.
