Python Requests throwing SSL Error

I am running on a simple script that includes cars, spring-security take a look at, redirection, and many others. I would really like to apply Kenneth Reitz's python-requests as it's a terrific piece of work! But, as calls for getting tested thru SSL so I need to get past that step first. I don't know what python-requests are wanting? Wherein is this SSL certificate purported to live?
