Table Naming Dilemma: Singular vs. Plural Names

Academia has it that table names should be the singular of the entity that they shop attributes of.

I dislike any t-sq. That calls for square brackets around names, however I have renamed a users table to the singular, forever sentencing the ones the usage of the desk to once in a while must use brackets.

My intestine sense is that it's far greater accurate to live with the singular, but my intestine feel is also that brackets imply undesirables like column names with spaces in them etc.

Must I live, or have to I am going?
